Reading Goals for 2019!

Yes, I know it’s a bit late in the game for me to say what my goals are, but hey, I at least have them!

Goal #1: Read and Review ARCs on Time

I am the worst at forgetting to review books on time, and worse still at actually putting my reviews on here? Mostly if I DNF a book, I end up just reviewing it on NetGalley or Edelweiss. I’m going to truly, honestly try to write up my reviews on here, if if they’re mini!

Goal #2: Year Long Reading Challenges!

I know I posted a little while back about how reading challenges are not my favorite things, but I think it’s because I don’t like having a limited amount of time in semi-competitive ones. With year long challenges like Bookish‘s and with PopSugar‘s, it’s a way for me to expand my horizons without feeling a lot of pressure! (Plus a lot of these prompts overlap, so double whammy!)

Goal #3: Make Reading Fun Again

Since I’m now a double librarian, sometimes it feels like I’m reading more for professional development than for funsies. And I miss reading for fun! I miss just sitting down with a big ass cup of tea or coffee and just powering through a book.

Goal #4: Actually Finish the Thing

This is less reading related and more research/writing related. I started working on a couple of stories last year, and found another one I’d started in undergrad. So the Thing is what I’m tentatively calling my weird writing projects and maybe I’ll actually get somewhere on one or all three of them!

That’s about it for my personal bookish goals! What are yours?

  1. Good luck with your goals! I am actually doing the PopSugar reading challenge along with a different one and honestly, it’s so much fun and a lot easier than I thought.

Tell me somethin!
