Top 5 Tuesday: Top 5 ARCs

It’s been a minute since I’ve participated in Shanah from Bionic Book Worm‘s meme, but here we are! My top 5 books I read as ARCs!!

I’m doing mine a little differently, and I’m doing my top five most memorable ARCs.

5) Court of Twilight by Mareth Griffith.

I liked the idea behind this one, but it kinda lacked a full story, in my opinion. I’d be interested to see if there was a sequel to it!

4) All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth.

Again, there was an interesting premise to this one, and I wanted to like it. But it was kinda lacking, again. I think in this case, it was because it was a murder mystery for a YA audience, but Edelweiss had it categorized as adult. I hoped it would go into a Cruel Intentions direction, but it…didn’t.

3) Fat Girl on a Plane by Kelly deVos.

I reviewed this one earlier this year, and I appreciate a fat main character! But this kinda went off the rails, and our lead ended up being a skinny mean girl. *insert sad face here*

2) A Skinful of Shadows by Frances Hardinge.

I really enjoyed this one! It’s set in a time period that isn’t really covered as much, especially in YA literature (English civil war). And Hardinge’s take on ghosts is so different from anything else.

1) Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa.

So, I’m still working on this one! But I love it so far!

What are some of your favorite or most memorable ARCs?
