I got this awesome tag from Beatrice at Dreamland Book Blog. Check out her page!
1-“Oh, what a guy, Gaston!”- A Villain You Can’t Help But Love
I am all kinds of here for villains. Honestly, it’s hard for me to pick a villain I love more than others. I think I’d have to say Kate Harker from This Savage Song. She’s not *technically* a villain in the first book, just more of an antihero, but either way, I adore her so much.
2-“Here’s where she meets Prince Charming”- Your OTP
Just one OTP?! Oh noooooo! Okay. Hm. Probably Nick and Lirael from the Abhorsen Chronicles. It may not be canon but OH WELL THEY’RE MY DEATH BRUSHED BABIES!
3- “I want so much more than this provincial life.” – A Character Who’s Destined for Greater Things
Kaz Brekker, hands (dirty or otherwise) down.
4- “Be Our Guest!” – A Book That Made You Hungry
As much as I didn’t really enjoy reading it, the food descriptions in The Girl of Fire and Thorns were amazing.
5- “Beauty and the Beast” – Opposites attract
This is honestly super hard for me to decide on. Do I choose the ones with a strict moral code and their loose cannon counterpart? Do I go for surly and chipper??? I’ll say Adam and Ronan from The Raven Cycle.
6- “But there’s something in him that I simply didn’t see.” – A character who’s more than they appear
Oh no, how can I pick just one?! I suppose Adam Parrish, again from The Raven Cycle.
7- “I was innocent and certain, now I’m wiser but unsure.” – A book that changed you in some way
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. If I never picked up that book, I don’t think I would ever be the person I am now. I found my tribe within the Harry Potter Alliance, I found a fandom that I’ve stuck with and argued with for my entire life.
8- “Kill the Beast!” – A book you picked up because of hype
Shatter Me. It’s by far one of my most unpopular opinions, but I can’t get on board with a character who just doesn’t do anything except gasp and blush and another character who literally tortures people to prove a point. Get out of here with that bullshit.
9- “I’ll never shake away the pain.” – A book or moment that always makes you cry
I’m sure I cried numerous times during Dreams of Gods and Monsters. Because holy shit, does Lani know my heartstrings.
